How to play Asteroid Field
- Click Start.
- Rotate and thrust with the arrow keys or A, D and W, or drag on a touch screen to steer.
- Blast the asteroids; big ones split into smaller ones. Auto-fire is on, or turn it off and fire with Space.
About this game
Arrow keys (or A/D + W) to rotate and thrust on a keyboard — or on a touch device, drag anywhere on the field: the ship turns to face and thrusts toward wherever you're dragging, so one finger is all you need. Auto-fire is on by default so you can focus entirely on flying; turn it off with the Auto-fire button to take manual control of shooting instead — press Spacebar on a keyboard, or tap the Fire button on a touch device, whenever you want a shot off (still capped at the same fire rate). Flying off one edge of the screen brings you back on the opposite side, and the same goes for asteroids and bullets. Shoot a large asteroid and it splits into two smaller, faster ones; shoot those and they split again before finally breaking apart for good. Clear the field and a new, bigger one appears. Three lives, then it's game over — your best score is saved on this device.
