About

Small tools, built to do one job well.

What this is

Toolcrate is a growing collection of small, single-purpose tools — calculators, converters, formatters, and generators — built for anyone who needs a quick, reliable answer without wading through ads, pop-ups, or unrelated content to get it.

How it works

Every tool runs entirely in your browser. There's no account to create, and what you type, paste, or upload is never sent to a server (the only exception is the contact form, which sends your message). Some tools and games remember your settings, favourites, and game progress in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device. You can back it up or wipe it from Your stats. That's a deliberate choice: these are meant to be fast utilities you can bookmark and return to, not products that ask anything of you beyond solving the problem in front of you.

Why it exists

Most single-purpose tools online are buried under intrusive pop-ups, autoplay video, or a wall of content before you reach the actual tool. Toolcrate keeps things simple: a light, standard ad or two to keep the lights on, and the tool itself front and centre — nothing else competing for your attention.

Who's behind it

Toolcrate is built and maintained by Jonathan Camilleri, who holds a PhD in Security and Crime Science. That background shapes how the site is run: tools process your data locally rather than on a server, and the privacy and security tools, such as the password generator, hash generator, file hash checker and photo metadata remover, are built with that care in mind.

Accuracy

Care is taken to get formulas and reference values right, and sources are noted where relevant. That said, no tool here should be treated as professional advice — see the Terms of Use for the full disclaimer, especially for anything health, financial, or safety-related.

What is toolcrate?

toolcrate (toolcrate.cc) is a free website of more than 210 small online tools, over 50 browser games and 38 quick unit conversion pages. The tools cover converters, calculators, text and developer tools, PDF and image tools, music and everyday utilities.

Is toolcrate free?

Yes. Every tool and game is free to use, with no paid tier. The site is funded by a light amount of advertising and optional donations through Ko-fi.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no signup or login. Settings, favourites and game progress are kept in your own browser, and you can see, back up, move or delete them on Your data.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. The tools run entirely in your browser, so what you type, paste or upload stays on your device. The only exceptions are the contact form, which sends your message, and the currency converter, which downloads exchange rates. You can check that nothing is uploaded yourself.

Who makes toolcrate?

toolcrate is built and maintained by Jonathan Camilleri, who holds a PhD in Security and Crime Science.

Does it work on phones and offline?

Yes. Every page works on phones, tablets and computers, and you can install toolcrate as an app from your browser. Pages you open keep working offline, and you can save every game, or the whole site, for offline use in one tap; saved copies update themselves when you're back online.

Can I suggest a tool?

Yes. Use the contact form to suggest a new tool or game, report a bug or send feedback.
