How it works
Every page you open on toolcrate is kept on this device, so it works next time even without a connection. Save all games or Save everything downloads the rest in one go, with everything each page needs (sounds, word lists, PDF and image engines), so nothing is missing when you're offline.
When you're back online, saved copies bring themselves up to date in the background, downloading only what changed. Game progress, records and settings were never online in the first place: they live in this browser and work the same with or without a connection. Back them up, or move them to another device, from Your data.
What needs a connection
- The currency converter's live rates (offline it uses example rates and says so).
- DNS lookup, which asks a DNS server.
- The contact form: write your message offline and it's sent automatically next time you open toolcrate with a connection.
On iPhone and iPad
Safari can clear saved copies of websites you haven't used for a few weeks. Add toolcrate to your home screen (Share, then Add to Home Screen) and open it from there to keep them.
