About this tool
Each flip is an independent, uniformly random 50/50 draw via Math.random() — previous flips have no influence on the next one, even after a long streak of the same result (the "gambler's fallacy" is exactly the mistaken belief that they would). The tally and recent-flips list persist as you keep flipping, so you can watch the heads/tails ratio settle closer to 50/50 the more flips you make.
Nothing here is sent to a server — the entire tool runs as JavaScript in your browser tab.

Is it a fair 50/50?
Yes. Each flip is an independent random draw with an equal chance of heads or tails.
After five heads in a row, is tails more likely?
No. Each flip is independent, so it’s still 50/50. Expecting otherwise is the gambler’s fallacy.
Why isn’t my tally exactly half and half?
Short runs vary a lot. The more flips you make, the closer the proportion usually gets to 50%.
Can I use it to settle a decision?
Yes. Some people find that how they feel about the result tells them what they really wanted.
