About this game
A compact crossword — one 5-letter word across the middle, crossed by three 3-letter words. Click a cell (or its clue) to select it; the active word highlights on the grid. Type letters directly; the cursor advances automatically in the current direction, and clicking an already-selected cell flips between across and down when a cell belongs to both. Use arrow keys, Tab, or click any clue to jump straight to it.
Check marks every filled cell green or red without giving anything away for free; Reveal letter fills in just the cell you're on, and Reveal puzzle fills the whole grid if you want to see the solution. Today's puzzle is the same for every visitor on a given day (handy for comparing times with a friend); Random puzzle picks a different one from the puzzle bank instantly.
