Scores are 0–10 (higher is better, so for cost, give the cheapest option the highest score). Weights are 0–10 for how much each criterion matters.

How to make a decision matrix
- Add your options with + Option and what matters with + Criterion.
- Give each criterion a weight, then score every option against it.
- Read the ranked result and how close the call is; copy, download as CSV or share as a link.
About this tool
A decision matrix (also called a weighted scoring model or Pugh matrix) turns a fuzzy choice into something you can inspect. List your options, list the criteria that matter, say how much each criterion matters, then score every option on every criterion. Each option's result is its weighted average score, shown as a percentage of a perfect 10 across the board.
How close was it? A ranking can hide a coin toss. Under the result, the tool checks every criterion and works out the smallest change to a single weight that would put a different option on top. If a nudge of one point flips the winner, your weights are doing the deciding, so it's worth asking whether you really believe them. If no weight between 0 and 10 changes the outcome, the result is robust.
Your matrix is saved on this device as you edit, and "Copy link" puts the whole thing in a URL you can bookmark or send to someone. Nothing is uploaded.
Questions about decision matrices
What is a decision matrix?
A table that scores options against weighted criteria, also called a weighted scoring model or Pugh matrix. It turns a fuzzy choice into numbers you can question.
How do I choose the weights?
Ask how much each criterion would change your mind. Give the deal-breakers the highest weights and nice-to-haves the lowest.
What does “how close the call is” mean?
The tool finds the smallest change to one weight that would change the winner. If a nudge of one point flips it, the decision is really down to your weights.
Is my matrix saved?
Yes, on this device, and Copy link shares it without uploading anything.
