About this tool
Start from your own photo — dropped in with a file picker and read entirely with FileReader, never uploaded anywhere — or from one of three original backgrounds drawn live on a canvas: a plain card, a gradient card, or a simple shape composition. None of these are copies of any existing meme template; they're generated with basic canvas drawing so you always start from a clean slate.
Add as many independent text boxes as you like. Each one has its own font size and stroke width sliders, and you reposition it by dragging directly on the canvas — the classic bold white-with-black-outline caption style is applied automatically, uppercased, using a condensed display font stack.
When you're happy with it, download the result as a PNG. The export is generated from the canvas in your browser; nothing is sent to a server at any point.
Questions about making memes
How do I add top and bottom text?
Add two text boxes and drag one to the top and one to the bottom. Captions use the classic bold white text with a black outline.
Can I use my own picture?
Yes. Upload any image; it stays in your browser and isn’t uploaded anywhere.
Is there a watermark?
No. The PNG you download is just your image and text.
Can I add more than two captions?
Yes. Add as many text boxes as you like, each with its own size.
