About this tool
A proper little paint program, built from scratch on an HTML canvas — no library. Brush and eraser draw freehand as you drag; Line, Rectangle, and Ellipse preview as you drag and commit when you release, with an optional filled mode for the two shapes; Fill floods a connected region with the current colour the way a paint bucket does; Text drops an editable box wherever you click, rendered onto the canvas once you click away or press Enter; and the eyedropper picks up whatever colour is under your click. Undo and redo step back and forward through your whole edit history, and your drawing autosaves to this device as you work, so a refresh won't lose it — Download PNG takes the finished image with you.
Questions about the paint app
Is my drawing saved?
Yes. It saves on this device as you draw, so refreshing the page won’t lose it. Download a PNG to keep a copy elsewhere.
Does it work on a tablet or phone?
Yes. Draw with a finger or stylus on touch screens.
How do I fill an area with colour?
Choose Fill and click inside a closed shape, like a paint bucket.
Is it like Microsoft Paint?
It has the same basics (brush, shapes, fill, text and colour picker) and runs in any browser, with nothing to install.
