How to add a watermark to a photo
- Choose or drop the image.
- Type the watermark text, then set its size, opacity, colour and position, or tick Repeat across the whole image.
- Check the preview and click Download watermarked image.
About this tool
The watermark is drawn straight onto a copy of your image on an in-browser canvas, so what you see in the preview is exactly what downloads. Use a light colour at partial opacity for a subtle mark, or full opacity and a dark colour for something that stands out. The "repeat" option tiles the text diagonally across the whole image, which is harder for someone to crop out than a single corner stamp.
Nothing is uploaded anywhere — the file never leaves your device. Everything here runs as JavaScript in your browser tab.
Questions about watermarks
How do I stop people cropping my watermark out?
Tick Repeat across the whole image. The text is tiled diagonally across the picture, which is much harder to remove than a corner mark.
What opacity should I use?
Around 30–50% with a light colour is visible without spoiling the photo. Use full opacity if the mark must stand out.
Can I watermark several photos?
One at a time: download each, then click Choose another image. Your text and settings stay as they were.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The watermark is drawn on a copy of the image in your browser, and what you see in the preview is exactly what downloads.
