Shoe sizing is not perfectly standardised worldwide — different manufacturers and even different shoe models from the same brand can fit half a size differently — so treat this as a reliable starting point rather than an exact guarantee, and check a specific brand's own size chart when it matters.

What is a UK 8 in US and EU sizes?
For men, a UK 8 is a US 8.5 and an EU 42. For women, a UK 5 is a US 7 and an EU 37.5.
How do I measure my foot length?
Stand on paper with your heel against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure from the wall in cm. Measure both feet and use the longer one.
Are US men’s and women’s sizes the same?
No. A US women’s size is usually about 1.5 larger than the men’s size for the same foot, so a men’s 8 is roughly a women’s 9.5.
Why do shoes in the same size fit differently?
Brands and even models fit differently by half a size or more. Check the brand’s own chart when it matters.
