About this tool
Standard 4-string bass tuning (low to high: E A D G), 12 frets per string. Each note is a real recorded bass sample from a public General MIDI soundfont, fetched the first time you play it and cached after that — this is the one instrument on toolcrate that isn't purely synthesized, because a plucked bass string is hard to fake convincingly with oscillators alone. If a sample can't load (no connection, etc.) that note falls back to a synthesized pluck instead of staying silent.
Samples come from a third-party CDN the first time each note is played; nothing you do here is recorded or sent anywhere.
