Each pad is synthesized rather than sampled: the kick is a low sine tone with a fast pitch drop plus a click transient, the snare layers a tonal body with a noise rattle, the hi-hats and crash use the classic drum-machine trick of several inharmonic square oscillators filtered down to their metallic upper end, and the toms sweep pitch like the kick at a higher register. It's a reasonable approximation of a drum kit's character, not a sampled recording.
