About this tool

Each bar is synthesized with a sine fundamental plus two quieter, deliberately inharmonic overtones (real xylophone bars ring at roughly 2.76× and 5.4× their fundamental, not clean integer multiples, because of how a free vibrating bar resonates) and a short mallet-click noise transient on the attack, all decaying quickly. It's an approximation of a xylophone's bright, woody timbre, not a sampled instrument.
