About this game

Numbers show how many mines are in the 8 surrounding squares. Flag every mine you're sure of, then clear the rest — or once a number's flag count matches it exactly, click that number again (or tap it) to "chord": every unflagged neighbour clears at once, the same shortcut experienced players use to move fast. Right-click or long-press to flag on any square, revealed or not. Your best time per difficulty is saved on this device.

Daily board. One Medium board a day with the same mines for everyone, and the same safe opening already cleared for you. You get one attempt, and it's saved as you play, so a reload won't reset it. Share your time, or how far you got, with no spoilers.

Questions about Minesweeper

How do I flag a mine on a phone?

Long-press the square, or turn on Flag mode and tap.

What is chording?

Clicking a number when the right number of flags already surround it, which clears all its other neighbours at once. Experienced players use it to go fast.

Is the first click always safe?

Yes. Mines are placed after your first click, so it never hits one. On the Daily board, the same safe opening is cleared for everyone.

Sometimes I have to guess. Is that normal?

Yes. Some boards reach a point where logic alone can’t decide; good players learn to pick the safest guess.
