About this tool

Each figure is the same span of time expressed in a different unit — total hours is just total days × 24, and so on — measured against your device's clock and updated every second. Without a birth time, the count starts from midnight on your birth date, so the totals will be off by up to 24 hours from your literal birth moment.

Nothing entered here is sent to a server — the entire calculation runs as JavaScript in your browser tab, and stops updating if you close or leave the page.

Questions about age in days and hours

How many days old am I?

Enter your date of birth and the total appears straight away. As a rough check, 30 years is about 10,957 days, including the leap days.

When will I be 10,000 days old?

About 27 years and 4 months after you were born. It’s a popular milestone to celebrate; watch the days figure here to see how close you are.

Why does the time of birth matter?

Without it, the count starts at midnight on your birthday, so the hours, minutes and seconds can be out by up to a day.

Does it keep counting if I leave the page?

It works from your device’s clock, so it’s correct whenever you open it, but the live count only runs while the page is open.
