Cooking Measurement Converter

Generic converters treat a cup of flour and a cup of honey as the same weight. They're not — this one adjusts for the ingredient you actually pick.

Why ingredient matters

A cup of all-purpose flour weighs about 120g. A cup of granulated sugar weighs about 200g. A cup of honey weighs closer to 340g. Volume-to-weight conversion depends entirely on density, so a single "1 cup = X grams" rule is wrong for anything except the one ingredient it was measured for. This tool uses commonly published density values per ingredient rather than one universal conversion.

Values are approximate and meant for everyday cooking, not laboratory precision — factors like sifting, packing, and humidity shift real-world weight slightly.
