About this tool
Dates are compared as whole calendar days with no time-of-day or time zone involved, so the count is the same regardless of where you or the dates are. By default the span is exclusive of the end date (the way you'd count nights between a check-in and check-out); check the box to count the end date too, the way you'd count total calendar days including both endpoints.

Questions about counting days
Should I include the end date?
Leave it out to count nights or the gap between dates, like a hotel stay from Monday to Friday (4 nights). Include it to count calendar days including both ends, like a holiday from Monday to Friday (5 days).
How many days are there in a year?
365, or 366 in a leap year. Counting from a date to the same date a year later gives 365 or 366 depending on whether 29 February falls in between.
What counts as a business day?
Monday to Friday. Weekends are left out; public holidays vary by country and aren’t subtracted, so take those off yourself.
Can I count the days until a future date?
Yes. Put today as the start and the future date as the end. For a live countdown in days, hours and minutes, use the countdown to a date tool.
