    How to generate a workout

    1. Choose your goal, how long you have and what equipment you’ve got.
    2. Click Generate workout; use Advanced to set difficulty, exercise count and rest time.
    3. Click Start workout to be timed through each exercise and rest, with bleeps or spoken cues.

    How this works

Exercises are drawn from a curated pool tagged by goal and equipment, then picked at random each time you generate — so two workouts with the same settings won't always match. Sets, reps, and durations scale with the difficulty you choose (or a sensible intermediate default in simple mode).

Start workout runs the whole thing on this page: it counts down timed exercises and rest periods automatically, and for rep-based exercises it stopwatches your set until you tap "Done with set," then counts down your rest. It also asks the browser to keep the screen awake while a workout is running, on browsers that support it, so it won't lock mid-set. Pause, skip, or stop at any point.

Pick how it sounds during a workout with the Sound setting: No sound is silent, Bleeps gives you tone cues (a tick in the last 3 seconds and a beep at each change, same as before), Guide speaks each exercise, rep or time target, and rest period out loud using your browser's built-in text-to-speech, and Coaching does the same plus a short, exercise-specific form tip the first time each exercise comes up.

This isn't personalised training advice — it's a randomiser to take the "what should I do today" decision off your plate. Adjust anything that doesn't suit your fitness level or any injuries, and stop any exercise that causes pain. Your last-used settings are saved in your browser (nothing is sent to a server) so they're remembered next time.

    Questions about the workout generator

Can I work out with no equipment?

Yes. Choose No equipment for a bodyweight session you can do at home or in a hotel room.

Will it give me the same workout every time?

No. Exercises are picked at random from those that suit your goal and equipment, so each one is different. Generate again if you don’t like one.

Can it talk me through the workout?

Yes. Set the sound to Guide to hear each exercise and rest announced, or Coaching for a form tip too.

    Is it safe for beginners?

Choose Beginner difficulty and adjust anything that doesn’t suit you. It isn’t personal training advice: stop any exercise that hurts, and check with a doctor if you have an injury or health condition.
